The paper presents trends influencing change of the software engineering education knowledge:

  • SEMAT (Software Engineering Method and Theory) was initiated by Ivar Jacobson, Bertrand Meyer and Richard Soley. The project purpose is to transform software engineering into the really scientific and technical discipline.
  • Changes in a new refresh of Guide to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge 2010 (SWEBOK 2010). Among the editors are active participants in the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 Software and Systems Engineering Committee.
  • IEEE certification CSDA, CSDP & CSDM.
  • Integrated Software and Systems Engineering Curriculum - Graduate Software Engineering 2009 (GSwE2009): Curriculum Guidelines for Graduate Degree Programs in Software Engineering. The Guidelines are now part of the Computing Curricula series to be updated and maintained by ACM and the Computer Society.
